Dream, Design, Do Virtual Camp
Dream it. Design it. Do it.
What if students had three days to take an idea from “What if?” to “Look what I created!”?
The STEM R’US Dream, Design, Do Virtual Camp is a three-day interactive innovation experience designed to help students explore ideas, solve real-world problems, create solutions, and confidently share what they develop.
Students do not need previous STEM, coding, engineering, or design experience. They simply need curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to try.
Over three exciting days, participants will move through the innovation process—from dreaming up an idea to designing a solution and taking action to bring it to life.
Three Days. One Big Idea.
This itinerary embodies our expertise, aligning each session with measurable outcomes that optimize engagement, facilitate collaboration, and sustain momentum for continuous improvement.
Day OneDREAM: Imagine What’s Possible
Monday, December 28 | 12:00–3:00 PM ET
Every great innovation starts with a question, challenge, or dream.
On Day 1, students will explore their interests, identify problems they care about, brainstorm possibilities, and choose one big idea to develop during camp.
Students will:
Discover problems and opportunities around them
Explore their interests, passions, and strengths
Learn introductory design-thinking strategies
Brainstorm creative solutions
Develop a “How might we…?” challenge
Create their Dream Statement and Big Idea
By the end of Day 1: Students will have selected a challenge and developed an idea they are excited to explore.
Day TwoDESIGN: Turn Your Ideas Into a Solution
Tuesday, December 29 | 12:00–3:00 PM ET
Now it's time to make the idea visible.
Students will learn how innovators move from ideas to designs through experimentation, prototyping, testing, and feedback.
Depending on their idea, students may design an invention, app, website, engineering solution, digital experience, community initiative, product, or other creative solution.
Students will:
Learn the basics of rapid prototyping
Identify who their solution is designed to help
Sketch, map, model, or digitally design their concept
Create Prototype Version 1
Test their idea
Receive feedback from peers
Improve their design
By the end of Day 2: Students will have a prototype, model, mockup, storyboard, or visual representation of their solution.
Day ThreeCore Skills Workshop
Wednesday, December 30 | 12:00–3:00 PM ET
Ideas grow when we're willing to share them.
On Day 3, students will transform their work into a story others can understand, practice presenting their ideas, and participate in the Dream, Design, Do Innovation Showcase.
Students will:
Learn how to communicate an idea effectively
Create a short innovation pitch
Practice public speaking and presentation skills
Refine their prototype or concept
Present their work during our virtual showcase
Celebrate fellow young innovators
Develop their own next-step action plan
By the end of Day 3: Students will have taken an idea through the full Dream → Design → Do process and leave with a plan for what comes next.

Today's students need more than technical knowledge. They need opportunities to think creatively, solve unfamiliar problems, communicate ideas, collaborate with others, adapt when something doesn't work, and confidently take action.
Dream, Design, Do combines STEM exploration with skills students can use far beyond the three-day camp:
Creativity. Problem solving. Design thinking. Communication. Confidence. Collaboration. Innovation. Leadership.
And most importantly, students experience the satisfaction of turning an idea into something they can proudly say:
“I created this.”
